The Harry Potter Book Marathon

So goes my one week vacation (but including my restdays from works, it was a nine day straight out of the office). I spent much of my time at home trying to arrange and re-arrange the things in the living room but have been taking much time in sleeping.

I really did plan something on this vacation but there were things that have came along the way not allowing me to go on with my plan. Dammit though! I arrange this vacation for a special occasion, concerning my Father's death anniversary, since December of 2010. Gees! another of those broken plans.

Anyways, i find time as well to read those books on my shelf and was able to complete reading the whole 7 books of Harry Potter in just a month (March 10 to April 11, 2011). I have read the first 2 books before but i decided to read it again anf go on with the rest of the books in which I find it self-fulfilling that I was happy to finish it in a short period of time despite of me being busy at work sometimes.

What did i gain from that book?

I guess i can't say that i gained something from the book or learned something from it. The thing is, i didn't read it to look for a specific thing that I could apply to my life. All the stories were actually packed with adventure and it gives me a realization that there is a world existing in our imagination and all you need to do is just look at it on a different view such as reading this kind of stuff.

I salute J.K. Rowling though for the wonderful book she have shared. It is worth reading for me and it is worth imagining things like flying brooms, Quidditch and Horcruxes. I even wanted to have some Hocruxes so that I could atleast live 7 lives (which is impossible). Just an FYI, Horcruxes will be introduced on the last movie.

As i have heard, the last Harry Potter movie will be showing on July 2011 and im pretty excited to watch it.

GLEE Season 2 Episode 16

Thanks for the seeds and peers who have not let my day down. I was able to download the GLEE S02E16 where in the cast has come up with fresh new songs. I know that it is not always okay to sing the most requested songs on the radio and, well, this episode has something to prove that the cast will have a milestone on their chosen field.

Anyways, I figured it out that Rachel Berry (Lea Michelle) will be singing the solo for the regional performance (as always). But she really is a woman of art. She belted the song well and I just love how she delivered the song knowing that it was an original composition.

What surprise me too is how the song "LOSER LIKE ME" gave a positive outlook to all losers. It was such a catchy song and such a song of wit and well I my say I want to download the song but I can see any seed yet.

GLEE-K here. Hoping for next week's episode 17. (i got all the season 2 filed up in my downloads, im glad I am not waiting for it to be in DVD co'z I can make one soon.)

Why I am So Hooked Up with "GLEE"

I have counted down the various reasons why I'm so hooked up with the current dominating musical show on TV, "GLEE". I hope it ain't a surprise when I say that I have been born to love music and watch musical shows. It runs in my blood though. My parents are good with singing and they too are musically inclined. They have always been a role model to me ever since.Well, not just my parents but as well as my kins. I would say, we are a clan of singer-wanna-be's. And, well its just the way it is.

Now, lets go back to the main biz. GLEE has been one phenomenal sitcom that has captured the whole of me. Its music, characters and episodes will always have me dig the internet for those songs they are playing. Alas! Thanks to the this great technology innovation that I could look them up easily.

I have made my own list of reasons tough why I liked "GLEE" so much.

1. I love how they play with their characters. A variety of people with various characteristics comprising a Glee Club is so unusual but they did it well.

2. I love how Brittany (Heather Morris) play dumb and she really is one person I always look forward to whenever she delivers a line co'z I know it would always be a punchline even if she has that innocent looking and face. I just love Heather doing the character. It is only her that I was able to get the idea that ADULTERY is all about being stupid as an adult. I got a lot of laugh on that.

3. The protagonist/antagonist approach of Santana is so realistic. This Latina (I hope she is) bitch will really have you wanted to screw her neck whenever she plays her role and whenever she screams fight to any other character. Watching her doing it is such a reel. Plus, she is hot and I love her when she plays the playful Santana trying to play with boys.

4. Combining winners and losers in one team is a total disaster in which only in Glee caters this type of Group. The cheerleaders, the football players and jocks down to an handicap-able man on wheel chair, they are in one team, THE GLEE CLUB of McKinley High.

5. They cater variety of music. They just don't stop with the latest but they did down the albums of dead people and trying to give it a new taste to the new generation to fit in and look back on yesterdays kind of music, plus, the fact that they also cater almost types of music genres, its a good watch and listen show. Knowing the fact that I wasn't born on the 50s or the 60's not even the 70s but I can hear them singing songs older than me and I'm glad to hear it these people. It gives my song vocabulary and additional list of songs.

6. Dianna Agron (Glee's Quinn) is so hot that I am not wondering why she was the head cheerleader, Fin's ex, Puck's child and Sam's new love. Her bitchy approach sometimes can always make her on top but I always love her whenever she plays an angel and talks softly and friendly. I just love her.

7. Gender is not an issue to be a part of the group and diversity is not an issue as well but not if Kwarovski would kiss Kurt again. LOL. Kurt is one typical happy people that just wanted to see his nature in a crowd which he found in Glee and I love it when they embraced Kurt in the group not as a gay but someone who is one of them sharing the same passion in the arts of music.

To be continued..

"I Am Number Four" or the misspelled name case again.

Since it was my rest day, I have all my time to do anything what I want to do. My itinerary for this day is blank thus whatever comes in my mind, so be it.

After getting out from Unionbank ( I have my expiring ATM renewed) me and my Bhe went to Robinson's for some quality time. We have not planned of anything yet but whatever comes, so be it.

After checking whats being shown, we ended together to watch "I AM NUMBER FOUR". It stars ALEX PETTYFER. Our friend's review has have got us wonder what was the movie co'z we heard good feedbacks and, they did not let us down.

It was a good movie ( simply i couldn't say the best) and though I know this was based on a novel/book, there are deleted scenes that we cannot see but we can read in the book.

SFX were great. Superb fighting scenes and great stunts.

This movie starred my favorite GLEE-k DIANNA AGRON (playing Quinn in "GLEE"). Such a pretty face. I love her more when she does not play the villain of the story. She was great and yes she is so beautiful.

She played Sarah (opposite John Smith, played by Pettyfer). She was indulged in photography and when she met John (an alien who dress, walk, talk and live like us [human]), it turned out that she fall inlove with him and the rest was there love story. At the end, John will need to leave her first as they need to find some of their race scattered in allover the world.

Callan McAullife played "Sam", a bully from their school but has made friends with John and they turned out to be buddies, searching for Sam's father who was known to have been abducted by aliens of John's like.

HE and his father believed that aliens from other planets exist but has been treated like freaks and was bullied almost all throughout Sam's younger years but he now can prove that they were not those types of person when he met John. The problem is, He need to keep the things in silent.

This is Timothy Olyphant. He played the protector of "the number four, John. His rule was to play as the father of the alien John. Well, as the story goes, protectors always die in the movie and he died in the movie for protecting the sole savior of their planet.

He was cool.

And before the movie ended appears TERESA PALMER, who introduced herself as the "NUMBER SIX". SHe and John fought their enemies and all I can say was their scenes were great. SFX made it like something real.

TERESA PALMER is one hottie!

Well, I was ended with some hanging questions. I know there will still be a sequel for the movie and I hope it would be shown so soon.

Anyways, to save up some of my hanging questions, we went to Bestsellers (a National Bookstore  subsidiary) to ask about the book and yes, they confirmed its selling like hot cakes. I have asked them to reserve one for me and the problem on wrong spelling appeared again.

Sales Lady: How about saving one for you sir?
Me: Sure.

She grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and wrote down "Reserved" and my name: "Mr. John".

to Nimmy, comment on why I appear to have issues with the spelling of the sales lady again.

LOL.

127 Hours (Aaron Ralston's Story)

Its 6:20 in the morning and its more than 18 hours that I am wide awake. After my 12 midnight end shift work, I always tend to get my self busy with things co'z I know my eyes would not collapse yet the moment I come home.

I just finished watching 127 Hours which starred one great actor, James Franco. From the words of my friends mouth, its a good watch thus I was so curious and wanted to have a peak.

The story was actually based on reality. This were all experiences of Aaron Ralston on his adventure to the Great Canyon (don't know exactly which state was it in the US but I know its one God's great grandeur.)

These experiences have put some realization to Ralston's life. Only when the worst case scenario came that he have thought he has been selfish and has been so happy-go-lucky without even knowing that he has already neglected his duty as a son, a friend, a lover and as an individual.

Sometimes we would all feel the same way as Ralston. We forget our responsibilities and more often we would always think of things selfishly. (Im guilty!). Most of the times, it is only during the darkest hours of our life that we would realize how stupid we are for not even thinking of what might other people say and do and what might we have listened to that would be a good way to weigh things.

If we are in Ralston's situation, cutting his arms would have been our only escape from that rock. We are helpless and we can't find someone to pull up the rock and get our arms freed from being stuck. The reality is that it is during those time that we can then appreciate the fact that we have people around us who can help and lift us up. Thus, it is always important for every individual to learn from their mistakes and continue life despite of what had already happened.

After Ralston's escape from the rock, reality hugged him and thus still living the way he was but now along with a partner.

No man is an island. None can gain confidence if no one appreciates those little and simple things you do. It is always important to follow one rule of the thumb: "Don't let yourself be fooled by your own. Second opinion always helps thus live not alone and be a listener, a friend or a lover. A son, brother or a group member. After all, it is always rewarding to see people smiling at you because you are important to them.

For the movie alone, its one great eye opener for people who are bounded by his mind and his own. Open up and see things not just by the way how you see it and let the people around you tell them how they see it and weight it.

A must see movie!

Secret Garden (Korean Soap Opera)

So I finished watching the Korean Soap Drama "SECRET GARDEN". Well, actually, i haven't finished watching the whole 20 episodes and ended at episode 18 co'z the episodes 19 and 20 were busted. Silly CD!

Episode 19 and 20 plays the great episodes co'z this would make some serious turn-outs of things and I tried digging in some info in the net (videos) and mysoju.com's file was also corrupted. Dammit! I tried looking in youtube.com but sigh! i only got some episode 19 parts. Dammit!(again). I have stayed more than 16 hours awake just watching the soap and I would only end up craving for the episodes 19 and 20.

Anyhow, the story was another one great Korean drama. The twist and turns are more surprising and revelations are more surpirse

The story revolves around 2 individuals, Ra Im and Woon Joo. Ra Im was an orphan turned stunt woman at the age of 30 while Woon Joo is one money-maker who plays the president of their Department Store LOEL.

Of course, there love story is the usual plot of a poor girl and a prince but in the story, Ra Im and Woon Joo were 2 individuals of different characteristics and as the story goes the adage "opposite attracts" will prove that love can move 2 hearts. But, for this 2 love birds, its a hell of ups and downs for Woon Joo's mother is so against them plus there is the director and singer who shake's the Ra Im and Woon Joo tandem.

The next thing I know, I was carried away on how the twist moved Woon Joo's mother when she later found out that Woon Joo's savior when he was on an elevator accident that brought him to the state of being claustrophobic, was Ra Im's fireman Father. But she still need to cut off what ties his son and the poor stunt woman thus despite of the gratitude for the girl's father, she will do everything not to end up seeing his son with Ra Im.

And, another twist came in when Woon Joo's memory about the accident was being brought up by his mind.

I don't know what comes next co'z episode 19 and 20 were busted. Gees!

Just want to share though one line from the soap that made me realize about life.

"IN LIFE, THERE ARE SOMETHINGS THAT COULD MAKE US HAPPIER BUT WE CAN'T SEE IT BECAUSE WE ARE ALREADY SMILING AT IT WITHOUT NOTICING IT."

The Baker King (Korean Soap)

So goes my first day of the 2 days off. Another slacking day and has been all the time lying while watching TV. This is one of those usual things that I am on when I am out of the office. A little sip of something for refreshment and some stuff for my stomach.

I have been a fan of Korean Soap-Operas thus this has been one of my past times. Korean soaps are far more filled with emotions and great twists of stories. That's one thing that I always love with Korean series.

Have watched a lot of Korean soaps and for the last 4 days, I was focused on this "Baker King" soap opera. The last 3 days has not been a continuous one but i ended with 9 episodes and just for this day, the 10th until the last episode.

I heard that this was aired in the Philippines already and was dubbed in our own language to fit the masses. GMA was the one who aired the program but I really don't like how they dub Korean soaps. I'd prefer ABS-CBN when it comes to perfect dubbing of this Asian TV shows.

"Baker King" is a 30-episode soap thus I started playing it from 4:30AM up til 11:00PM. An eye soaring activity for the day plus I have got no eye-closing yet and it turned my eyes eyes red now.

This is a story of rivalry, kinship, power, greed, family, friendship, freedom and dreams. Its got a lot of twist and a lot of tear-jerking scenes that could really touch your soft sides. I never cried though but there were some scenes that could really touch your heart. You will surely get something to learn from this soap and lines that will put a mark in your brains.

Main character Kim Tak Gu has never dream of becoming someone great but it was his call to be in the future as he was a son of a Bread Industry mogul. He never knew from the start that his life is more than what he have endured during his younger years. It was then when he was 12 years old when his mother Kim Mi Sun introduced him to wealthy family and to his father. Too young by then, he was shocked by the revelation but has still wanted to stay as a low profile child until he matures. He does not want to play a great person in the future co'z it was never par of his dream but for his mother.

This was the cause on the never ending tale of ups and downs, tears and happiness, revenge and success for Tak Gu. For a period of 12 years after his mother was kidnapped, his life was programmed by his own self to look for his long lost mother. When he found the person who took his mother, by then he was introduced to the world of bread-making and another twists and turns were revealed for the unending search of freedom and dreams.

He was then starting to love the new passion in bread making. He has the edge to the other bakers as he possesses a special sense of smell in which was prophetically said to be an unbeatable bread-maker. On his journey to this world, he found a rival in the name Sae Tae Jo which in the latter part of the story was proclaimed as his younger half-brother Gu Man Ju who has also been dreaming of becoming the next mogul in Bread Making in exchange of their father.

But fate has always been good for Tak Gu thus giving more reason for Man Ju to envy the sibling. Man Ju has been in search of recognition from his father thus he entered the bread making world. Not only was his father's recognition was at stake. When he met the child-turned to-lady Shin Yu Kyung (Tak Gu's childhood friend and later has become his girlfriend) he wanted to take away Yu Kyung from Tak Gu by means of winning in the bread making competition.

Tak Gu's fate has always been inclined with troubles and revenge from the people around him. Despite of this, his pure heart and smiling face has always win and would allow his villains to further put him down but they are unable to fully take Tak Gu.

It ended well for Tak Gu and his mother as they both were back on each other's arms and Tak Gu have touch many people that he have encountered in the entire play.

Anyways, all I can say is that I love the story and I love Korean soaps.

Minus the Virtual World for a Week

“Mercy Mercy Me”

It has been a week when I isolated myself from the virtual world and all I can say is that its worth the chance to live like how I dealt with the day. One week and all I did was bore myself with DVD marathon and music tripping.

I am on my “nth” time watching those Disney Classic fairy-tales-turned-movies. Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel (of which was changed to “Tangled”), Anastacia, Sleeping beauty (Aurora, now I can’t forget Sleeping Beauty’s name), The Little Mermaid and some Pixar and Dreamworks cartoon themed movies.

Gees! I can almost memorize the episodes of Glee Season 1 and memorize the lines on “Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks starrer “You’ve Got Mail”. That’s how bored I was when I decided to put the virtual world out of my senses first.

Well, aside from watching movies on DVD and listening to music, I indulged myself on picking up some good read on my shelf. The Little Princess is the book that I am currently reading. Was about to start again Tuesdays with Morrie but I don’t want teary eyed after I read the book. Though I might have already read it but I can’t help myself to grab it still in the future. In the meantime, I am allowing my hands to grab the Princess Sara book.

Just this day, I started to coddle myself with the virtual world thus blogging is what I first think of. No use co’z my fingers typed www.facebook.com first. Gees! Silly fingers!

Anyways, another month will soon pass and we are on the Love month in the next 1 day. Pretty thinking of what to do though. I don’t have any idea yet on how I would spend that special day.

"The Last Song" - Nicholas Sparks on Movie (Miley Cyrus)

The last time I checked myself, I was never really a sentimental fool or someone who loves to cry while watching a movie. I admit that when I was younger, I use to cry over some Filipino dramatic movies though. And, I was never really a big fun of Miley Cyrus. No offense meant though but I like how she acted on the movie that I have just finished watching, "The Last Song". She was not the typical teeny-idol Miley who plays the role Ronnie (short for Veronica) and the theme was more mature for her than her previous roles on TV and movies.

Plus one thing that give me the focus to watch it was because it is another Nicholas Sparks story-based movie whom we all know he is good with tragical love and family stories.
The thing is, I have bought this DVD last year and it was on my collection for months now and I never had the chance too watch it so soon as my mind tells me that it would be another Miley teeny-moive. But I was wrong.

Nicholas Sparks is known for some books that were featured in the big screen. Among were "A Walk To Remember" that starred Mandy Moore and Shane West which was another tragical love story. His book "Message In A Bottle" starring Meg Ryan and Bruce Willis were also turned into film and that was really one great love story which started from a message in a bottle thrown and floating in the sea and was handed to someone who was curious whom the message was from.

For this movie though, "The Last Song", it was about family ties, friendship and love in one thus making the story something that everybody can relate to. I was touched by the movie honestly speaking. If I only knew that it was a good movie, I should have watched it a lot of times now and I will do that.

One more thing that had made my eyes stuck to the movie were the good actors playing the important roles. The child in the right is Bobby Coleman, one good child actor who has played the sister of Ronnie (Miley) and I would say that he was so touching and he wholeheartedly shared his piece of acting and making it like something real. Gees. This kid is a whiz in the drama scenes. I salute his best acting in the movie.
Well, veteran actor Greg Kinnear has always been one of my favorite actors. He is good with this genre of movie as well as suspense. His superb role in the movie was acting as the father of Ronnie and all he wanted was to see his children before he dies as he was diagnosed with cancer and that his life is soon to lapse. His kids later knew this situation and has made some emotional changes for both Ronnie and Jonah (played by Miley and Bobby). What i liked with him is that he is acting naturally and with just facial expression you can read what he is trying to say before he could say it.

Kelly Preston has always been a pretty face in the camera. Despite of the cameo role (co'z she has only done few scenes), she has never fade. She has always been a good actress and I just can't take my eyes away from here face when the camera takes a face shot on her. Stunning lady and non-aging. Always have been acting as mother's of teen actresses (remember her movie with Amanda Bynes, "What A Girl Wants"?) Damn! I will always love this Kelly Preston woman.
Have watch Liam Hemsworth movies before but I guess I need to watch more of his movies. In "The Last Song", he might have played one great role but it was just to light that he was not able to give his best I guess. So far though, he was perfect for a low-profile rich son in the movie. I guess he would do more light drama and chick flicks and everybody would love him especially the ladies.

And then came Miley Cyrus, the main character of the movie. I hope she would get more mature roles again in her next movies co'z she is not getting any younger. The character fits her in  the movie and it was a more mature Miley that I saw.

For a scale of 10, 10 as the highest, I would say the movie sits at 8. Despite of being a light drama, love story, their approach abut family values has always been one turning point to realize after watching he movie.

The Book Collection and a Classic Movie : Shakespeare, Mitch Albom, The King and I

The Original Book which Romeo and Juliet was  based
We invaded Trinoma yesterday while waiting for our colleagues thus instead of just sitting in Starbucks and sipping those Toffee Nut Venti coffee, me and Wea walked around and tried to window-shop. Each stall and store caters variety of items but as I have told you, book shops always plays a nice place to pick some things that I can buy worthy for my leisure time. Ten minutes of looking from shelf to shelf, I decided to ask the saleslady for one book that i have been looking for, Mitch Albom's "The Five People You Meet In Heaven".

After the lady give us the right shelf to pick the book, I picked one copy and jump to another shelf where I saw the Shakespeare books. I have always been fascinated by Shakespeare's literary and so after deciding what to pick, ROMEO and JULIET landed on my hands.

Now added on my book shelf are these books. But my journey in picking up some good reads will not end here. There are still a lot of books that i want to have a copy of. Shakespeare, Jostein Gaarder, Dan Brown, J.K. Rolling etc etc etc.

Soon I might need some new shelves for my books but in the meantime, while my collection is still incomplete, i got to stick with what i have.

Reading has been one past time i am into now. I guess the internet is starting to bore me thus I am more on just on updating my blog page.
The King and I (1956)
Anyways, while I am writing this, a classic movie is playing. This movie seems to popular to all art lovers, unless you despise musical. It has been more than 15 years when I last saw this movie and thanks to technology I was able to download it and soon will have it on CD and file it on my compilation of movies.

The setting was in Siam, Thailand. The movie was actually played in the big scree in 1956. The King and I is basically one of my favorite musical movie of all times. Superb background, music is great and actors are wonderful. I can't just say simple things about the movie but I really appreciate the art of the movie.

I believe that there is already a remake of the movie who starred Jodi Foster and Chow Yun Fat,  Anna and The King. Both movies are great but the classic one is what really captured my favorite spot.

My Childish Heart; or Living Boring Life ( Yakitate Japan!!! )

I am 30 years old soon. An age where maturity should have gone deeper. Hmmm. But I can always be a child whenever i want to. I can always play those childish games or can act like one sometimes. LOL :D

Animes has been one great past time for me aside from reading books, watching DVD movies and suring the net. In this way, I still can feel that life need not be bound for boredom.

During this era where competitions on soap operas, sitcoms and animes arouse, there are things that i need to consider why it should be a worthy watch. The theme, the characters and the wide array of lesson that we can learn. Of course we need to learn something from what we are watching. Its not just about the crave for your selfish emotional needs or spirtual guidance but as a whole.

May it be a real person acting or a pen-drawn or computerized 3D animation as long as it fits this criteria I have, it will be a good watch.

Most animes though are far more on to strength fighting or bloody scenes. Some are lighter but still brutal to a child's imagination. But not Yakitate Japan! It's more on idealism, friendship, family, food fight and kinship for some other characters.

A worthy watch for me.

With such theme as bread-making and realizing a dream, I can almost fit myself to Azuma Kazuma who plays the innocent town boy who persuaded the world with his best craftmanship ever known to the bread world. All his creations were based on the real events he have encountered as he grew up with his sister and his grandparents.

To think, he has no formal education on the field that he is in to, but as the story goes, bearing the Solar Hands and the ability to adapt his baking with real experiences, Azuma succeeded in his every endeavour until he dominated the baking world by winning the 2nd Monaco CUp.

Azuma together with Kawachi, Suwabara, Tsukino, Kanmuri and the Manager comprises an ideal team that everybody should see. There might ahve been some scenes that are brutal than hilarious but I guess Japanese animes were really made that way for the main reason to enjoy while watching it.

Yakitate Japan is one of my favorite animes that has always bring the child in me. Putting myself sometimes in Azuma Kazuma's shoes allows me to think that everything can be possible if you pursue and goes along with it.

I never dreamt though of becoming a bread-maker but when I watch this anime, I started to seethe beauty in baking. The fun of kneading dough and the surprises of making an out of this world delicous bread that everybody can relate to. But i am not yet a bread-maker and I am hoping to become soon.

Watching this anime is killing the boredom at times when i dont know what to do. Better be entertained with this rather sitting and watching the blankness of the horizon. Its nothing but a losser's doing.

YAKITATE JAPAN!!!!!

The Christmas Feeling

As i blogged previously, I always consider September 1 as the start of Christmas. Mmmmm... i can now feel the soft breeze of the christmas air.. feel feel feel.. NOw i know this means start to plan for the feast itself. Aside from going home to celebrate Christmas with my family, I need to list down now the names of my "inaanaks". You know these times are always critical coz even though you are too far away from them, they will find time to locate you in their own GPRS (their parents! shoots!)

Think Think think!!

What should i gave for a toddler, a 2 years old, a one year old that should be worthy enough for them to always remember needless of the Christmas time? Uhmmmm.. Lemme think? a pair of shoes? Toys? toddler shirts? Can't seem to figure out what's best to give them as a present coz i haven't seen them for about a year or so.

Christmas rush! Yeah, thats what i always does not want to see so as early as this time, itineraries are set and needs to be worked on before December. Listing the names of your "inaanaks" will always be a good start before planning on what gift to buy.

Nothing beats and early bird who catches the worms first. So as early as today, try planning for what should be done on the days of December. Here's mine:

Task may vary without prior notice LOL.
First week of December - buy gifts for my "inaanak"
2nd week of December - buy gifts for my family
Dec 13 - my Ate's Birthday

Dec 18 - flight from Manila to Butuan
            - courtesy call to my father's grave

Will Smith: what an actor!

its kind of awkward for a straighta ctor to cry on movies though its always a pleasure for us seeing hem playing their roles as what it should be. Sometimes, most of those actors are best know for being one of a kind coz he can do all genres of movies namely comedy. love story, action, fantasy, sci-fi, suspense, thriller and the likes. For an actor playing this roles, it a fulfillment for his career. Lets say 4 out of 10 actors are versatile, meaning, they can always go on with any genres. Most of them are just sticking to their kind of flicks.

For someone like Will Smith, crying seems so natural when he plays a certain role. I have saw his action movies and all i can say is that, drama has shown his other side as an actor. He suited perfectly as a tax collector and as a salesman. I am talking about this 2 movies that i would really say and proud to open up that i have cried while watching these 2 movies.
Seven Pounds, in which Will Smith played as Tim Thomas mocking his brother as the tax collector. Haunted by the painful past, he though that his life was a second chance given to him thus sharing every part of his own is his own way to be free from the past. Nice story of love, friendship and second chances.

The Pursuit of Happyness in which Will SMith played as Chris Gardner who happens to be a fighter-spirited man who never gives up and has always a reason to live. That is to seek for true happiness after all his downfall times. IN this movie, Will Smith have played a very role connected to the struggling man known in this world. Despite of all the obstacle, pursuing what you think is worthy to pursue is far more rewarding than giving up on just your first fall.

If i would scale the movie from 1 to 10 and ten as the highest, i would say both movies are on the perfect 10 when it comes to the story, the acting and the characters. Both of this movies deserve some standing ovation and should be known to all men. Sometimes, we feel like this movies are just for past times but no! For this type of movies lies the reality about life that we need to see.

These movies tells a reality that we should be able to consider as we walk in this world. You might not have the courage and the patience of Chris Gardner or you might not be the same as Tim Thomas but atleast you know that there are always reasons existing in this world. It is hidden. There rae no clues coz life is like a puzzle that you need to solve in order to get the answer.

Should you have time to watch these movies, i would say please do so. It might not be your type of genre but giving it a chance will not change anything. The movie just wanted to share something about what we can relate to.

till next post.

"The Talented Mr. Ripley"

The Talented Mr. Ripley
Just finished watching the movie "The Talented Mr. Ripley". Or may i say almost. Coz i ended up watching it before it ends. I don't want to see what happened to Matt Damon (playing Tom Ripley) after serious commotions arose and people around him seem to not notice what he ahve done to the real Dickie Greenleaf (played by Judd Law). Its a tale of becoming someone else in a wrong way.

I thought that it will end all well for Mr. Ripley but i don't know what had happened at the end. I was really on his shoes when I watched it and that may have triggered me not to see how end will be. In reality though, I don't play someone who wants to be in someone elses shoes and steal the fame, money and friends.

Good movie. Star studded. We have Matt Damon, Judd Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cate Blanchett, Philip Seymour Hoffman (counterpart of Tom Cruise in Misson Impossible), Jack Davenport (that engaged-to-be-married guy in The Wedding Date). PLus more stars. Director was Anthony MInghella and the story was plotted in Europe basically ITALY.

I guess i will be seeing more of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in my days off.

After getting into trouble at their seminary, seminarians Gyu-shik and Seon-dal are sent into the country for a month of service under the elderly Father Nam. Upon their arrival, Gyu-shik meets Father Nam's niece, Bong-hie, who has flown across from the United States to see her boyfriend. However, when her boyfriend ends their relationship, Bong-hie finds herself stranded at her uncle's church with nowhere else to go. At first she and Gyu-shik struggle to get along, but eventually they become attracted to one another, and Gyu-shik is forced to question his commitment to the priesthood.

One scene taken from the movie in which the choir sung a some what like goodluck and congratulations song to the newly wed.

Another scene taken from the movie in which Kyushik was in a deal wtih Bong-hie. He will be teaching BOng-hei cathecism and in return he will be BOng-hei's animated mascot for the story she reads for the kids in the chapel.

Overall, i found the movie simple, precise, whole-some and one Korean movie which has no tragic ending but a twist of Kyushik picking himself up and leaving the priesthood in return for her love-felt for Bong-hie.

Its a cute movie.

The Korean Movies

I just want to share this. I love Korean movies though there was a certain period when rumors spread out that one Korean national discriminated Filipinos. Its nothing personal. Just for the crave of good and worthy movies to watch, I would always pick Korean movies as they portrayt a lot of twist. A lot of unexpected things.

This is "A Millionaires First Love". I dont even know who the actors were but it does not matter to me. I am digging the contents of the story and not the people who play for the roles.

This is a story about inheritance but along his journey, he met the girl. Misjudge the girl for a hooker. He was a grandson of one rich old man who have passed away and by chance will betroth the riches to the guy. In one condition which was stated on the last will and testaments of the deceased. He should pursue education on the school in which his grandfather picked for him. Away from the city. In a remote area. And so the journey starts.

She was a woman of brave heart. A fighter. An orphan. You can see here everywhere. She has a lot of jobs. Wokring in a gasoline station, studies, works, serves the orphanage, works, studies, works. Thats how the life of the girl goes. SHe was dreaming of being accepted again by her biological family which mistook her for a gold-digger. How pity the girl's situation was.

And so it goes. They almost cross their paths everywhere. They both now go to the same school. and in a span of time, falling secretly. But they were not actually just new acquaintance. They were childhood friends. its jus that the guy has experience a sudden tragedy that made him forget about the fast.

He actually promised this girl when they were still around 7 years old to be back when they decided to live in the city. And on their way to the city, the car accident made the guy's life a mess.  A mess because there were parts deleted from his mind. Those special parts thats needs to be repaired as this is the key to unlock the future.

She has a lot of dream. Dreams that she wanted to fulfill before she pass away. Yes. She was badly ill that anytime and anywhere she can be dead when her illness would trigger to end her life. She supposed not to feel total happiness and total loneliness coz this feelings triggers the illness. A heart disease that was really ironically plotted for her life. How pity of her especially when she founds out that the guy can no longer be with her for a long time coz she will be dead anytime. She loves the guy but she cannot feel happiness nor can feel down. But what can she do? it was all destined to end this way.

As for the guy, when he found out the situation it was the very turning point of his life. He realized how he wasted so much of his life before this. He was a hooligan. He was nothing but a black sheep and thorugh the inheritance, his grandfather would like him to realize that money is just a passerby in this world. it does not make the world go round. And when he met this girl, he realized that there are dreams, there is reality and there is bad and good. He found out that its not wealth who made made him a whole but himself.

She wished that before she dies she could touch the first day of winter snow and ironically she was able to and in his arms she breathed the last breath and left a sad memory to the guy.

it would be better if you could get the chance to watch this movie.

its pretty worth the time spent watching this and i would not have second though if anybody would ask me to watch the movie with them. i would even on the nth time.

more to come. ..
